Once Upon a Time
April 10-13

Show Theme: God IS the author of happily ever after . . .

Show Scripture: '"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." --John 3:16

FREE Audition Workshop, Sat. 1/5, 10:00-12:00
Auditions for ages 5-7 yrs: Jan. 8th from 5:00-6:00
Auditions for ages 8-11 yrs: Jan. 8th from 5:30-8:30
Auditions for ages 12 and up: Jan. 11th: 5:00-10:00
January 12th: Callbacks for ALL from 9:00-2:00

Can I audition for more than one show? Yes! Ages 8 and up may choose to audition AND be cast in more than one production for only $145. The only shows that have rehearsals that conflict are A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Hobbit.

Casting: All auditionees should enroll in the Spring Production Class online and read ALL the information.

MUSIC--Girls, ages 8 and up should prepare the song “Once Upon a Dream” from Sleeping Beauty or “I’ll Know” from Guys and Dolls. Boys ages 8 and up should prepare “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” from Sound of Music or “My Defenses are Down” from Annie Get Your Gun. We will have sheet music and CD accompaniment available for check out starting December 15th. Students ages 5-7 may choose a simple song such as, "Jesus Loves Me," or "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."

DRAMA and DANCE auditions will be COLD and taught on the spot. Act One is a TRAINING academy, so any level of experience and talent is welcome.

The Princess Bride (A Revue)

Tuesdays 6:45-8:30, Saturdays 2/2. 3/2, 3/23

Characters: Theseus – Duke of Athens, Hippolyta – Queen of the Amazons, betrothed to Theseus, Philostrate – Master of the Revels, Egeus – father of Hermia, wants her to marry Demetrius, Hermia – in love with Lysander, Helena – in love with Demetrius, Lysander – in love with Hermia, Demetrius – in love with Hermia at first but later loves Helena, Oberon – Titania's husband and King of the Fairies, Titania – Oberon's wife and Queen of the Fairies, Robin Goodfellow/Puck – servant to Oberon, Peaseblossom – fairy servant to Titania, Cobweb – fairy servant to Titania, Moth – fairy servant to Titania, Mustardseed – fairy servant to Titania, First Fairy, Second Fairy, Peter Quince – carpenter, leads the troupe and plays Prologue, Nick Bottom – weaver, plays Pyramus, Francis Flute – bellows-mender, plays Thisbe, Robin Starveling – tailor, plays Moonshine, Tom Snout – tinker, plays Wall, Snug – joiner, plays Lion.
