Musical Theater Heritage of Kansas City presents MerEdith Wilson's classic THE MUSIC MAN, now playing through August 26 at the Off Center Theatre.  BroadwayWorld has the promo video.

Winner of 5 Tony Awards, The Music Man is one the all-time most favorite classic American musicals. Written by Meredith Willson, it's the story of a con man named Harold Hill who comes to River City, Iowa posing as a boys' band organizer. Harold's intention is to sell band instruments and uniforms to naive townsfolk before skipping town with the cash. Prim librarian and piano teacher, Marian Paroo sees through him, but when Hill helps her younger brother overcome his fear of social interactions due to his lisp, Marian begins to fall in love with Harold. Harold, in turn, falling for Marian, risks being caught to win her.

Musical Theater Heritage was founded in 1998 by George Harter, as a 501c3 Production Company to entertain and enlighten new generations with the legacy of the American art form known as Musical Comedy.

MTH presents classic musical theater and review performances in the 240 seat, Off Center Theatre at the Crown Center Shops in Kansas City. These are professional productions using all local talent and are presented in concert or semi-staged form.
